Panerai – Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Bronzo 47mm

47mm! That’s living large! Panerai, known for their classic diving watches made for the Italian Navy have always been larger than most.  Their understated design and classic appeal have warmed the hearts and emptied the wallets of many a collector.  Simple, timeless design in a timepiece.  This newest “Special Edition” Panerai is made with a 47mm brushed bronze case.  It looks like someone has pried it off of Neptunes vessel.  This model, as retro as it may look has Panerai’s P.9000 calibre movement with 13 3/4 lignes, 7.9 mm thick, 28 jewels and Glucydur® balance. This movement gives 28,800 alternations per hour.  It has an Incabloc® anti-shot device and power reserve for 3 days.

The bezel and case are as mention brushed Bronze with polished edges.  The bezel itself rotates counter clockwise with graduated scale for calculating time of immersion and a ratchet click at minute intervals.

The back of the case is see-through with a sapphire crystal and brushed titanium external ring.  The face of the dial is green with luminous hour markers.    The Crystal is a whopping 4mm thick of Sapphire, made from corundum and coated with anti reflection.

This massive timepiece is water resistant to 30 bar (-300 meters)

The strap is made of personalized leather with a large brushes titanium buckle.  It also comes with a second interchangeable strap and steel screwdriver.
