Tin Roof Bistro
My newest favorite restaurant, the Tin Roof Bistro in Manhattan Beach, ca, newly opened and at first glance looked full of promise. It was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly pleased with my dining experience. Many many times I have been to a new concept restaurant or bistro that tried too hard and missed. The Tin Roof however stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park. From the outside, there is a row of grape vines, letting you know the feel is Napa. There is even a Bocce court in front a little kitschy but it worked. Inside the bistro buzzes with energy. The mix of tables, benches and chairs and the lighting are carefully chosen to give you that modern renovated barn house feeling. The Bar was inviting and well stocked. We sat out in the patio that was well protected from traffic noise and wind. My dining experience was fantastic as the menu had many many choice that make me want to come back for the daily specials and other choices. The wine list was full of FOH or “Friend’s of the House” which the owner has met during his time in Napa Valley. The Steak Frites, Jidari Chicken, Clam Steamers, Thin crust pizza’s are all fantastic. The rest of the menu was French Bistro and Italian fare. I was sitting there after my desert looking around and felt that I was not sitting five minutes from my home, I felt that I was in Napa on a vacation. That is what I want in a restaurant is a place that takes me away for a true dining experience, otherwise I’ll cook it myself. TIN ROOF BISTRO 3500, N, Sepulveda Blvd. Manhattan Beach, Ca.
