Deus ex Machina
From Australia comes Deus, the coolest custom cycle custom shop. Deus re-builds and re-works classics with modern materials and the highest tech components available. Deus also customizes bicycles made in retro-fashion. The Deus shop even has a cafe and clothing shop specializing in custom t-shirts, jeans, sweaters, jackets and sneakers. The bikes however are what caught my eye the most. Especially the SR 542 Mono, which looks like a cross between Mad Max and Evil Knievel. It’s chrome tanked, black leather banana seat bike with wide bars, thick tires and Ohlin’s mono shock at the rear. A very tall travel and carbon fiber wheel cover makes your eyes do a double take. Yes, this bike is a completely rebuilt Yamaha SR 500 a-la Deus. They also do their magic on Triumph’s as well. Deus, what a concept. DEUS
