Manhattan Beach Sand Dune Park
The Manhattan Beach, Sand Dune Park is at the top of my work out regiment. What a challenge! It is a brutal climb up a steep, 100 Foot sand dune. Cardio to the max. My legs, thighs, calves and butt are aching. It kills the stairs in Santa Monica. Now if only one day I can start running up the hill. Best of all, it’s absolutely free. The park itself is pretty nice too, there is even a series of switchback stairs that traverse the hill, if the sand is too much. There is a small playground for the kids also. Located at 33rd Street and Bell, in Manhattan Beach, California. It was developed in 1964. Park Hours: Daylight Savings Time – 6 AM to 9 PM and Standard Time – 6 AM to 8 PM. The facility can be reserved with a 10 business day advance notice, for groups of 14 or more between 11 AM and 3 PM, Monday through Friday only. Call 310-802-5410 for Facility Reservations
