Sportsmobile 4×4
As a young kid during the seventies, I was always a huge fan of the customized Van. Chromed Cragar wheels, extreme paint jobs, wall to wall and ceiling shag carpet. Those Vans were the epitome of cool in California. Some of the Vans even had CB Radio’s and they could play smokey and the bandit, during their group caravan to a park picnic or beach. Ah, those were the days, man. Today, a company named Sportsmobile still keeps the cool edge with the old time favorite Van with one major difference, the Sportsmobile is a 4×4 expedition vehicle. Like a souped up sports utility vehicle, this Sportmobile is a mobile habitat. The Sportsmobile folks re-work and re-build the Ford Econoline or Chevy Maxi Van with the best off-road performance systems available as well as customizing the interior to suit any need be it comfort travel, medic, mobile lab, camera van or the ultimate crew carrier.
