Zap! Electric Vehicles
Not your typical Toyota Prius or Honda Insight, these are all electric vehicles. The company Zap specializes in electric transportation, selling bikes, cars, scooters, atv’s, marine atv’s, as well as battery and re-charge units. The thing l like most are these Zap Electric cars. First is the XEBRA SEDAN, a three wheel, four dour beetle like car. The XEBRA sells for 11,700.00 and goes up to 40 miles per hour with a range of 25 miles per charge or 40 miles per day with an oppourtunity charging. It seats up to four people and comes in four eye catching colors. This is perfect for the green-minded parent who takes the kids to school, runs to the supermarket, the local mall and other neighborhood jaunts. They also make a Pick Up truck version called the XEBRA TRUCK which local delivery companies could fabricate for local deliveries and use the green concept as a money saving selling point. ZAP even makes a heavier duty Truck called the ZAP TRUCK XL, handling a 770lb. payload. It’s perfect for on-site jobs and Construction sites, movie studios etc.
On the high end are these two cool electric vehicles, the ALIAS and the ZAP-X. The ALIAS which is coming to market in 2009 and plans to be built in Ohio is a higher performance two passenger vehicle. The ALIAS goes from zero to sixty in 7.7 seconds, and maxes out at 100mph. This is still under development so exact specs are forthcoming. The proposed price for the ALIAS is 32,000.00 much more affordable than the exotic TESLA. And another future vehicle is the ZAP-X made by Lotus. This coming in 2010 priced around 60,000.00 this vehicle is also a four passenger long range all electric vehicle. The Future will be yours.
