Play ball – Petanque, Bocce, Boules
Whatever you want to call it, Petanque, Boules or Bocce, this can be one of the most addictive games for leisure fun. Gather a group of friends or family, a great bottle of wine or six pack of beer and you’d be surprised at how competitive things can get. One summer in the South of France we played every evening till it was too dark to continue. PLAYABOULE is the largest maker of Petanque or Bocce sets. They even make pro-level equipment. The coolest sets are the portable ones with their own case, mark ball and measuring tape so that no one cheats. There is even a glow in the dark set that I wish we had. This is a back to the basic game. No electricity, no computer, just get an outdoor flat dirt surface or grass lawn or even on the beach. What a better way to spend time together with friends outside and really connect. The French call it Petanque or Boules, and the Italians call it Bocce, just don’t wear all white.
