Touted as “The Largest retail wine cellar in the West”, Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, California is quite huge. With over 24,000 square feet, this family owned retail store has been in operation since 1957. Founded by Fritz Hanson and Jim McVay the business is still in the family. Hi-Time has one of the larges underground temperature-controlled wine cellars in the U.S. at over 3000 square feet. This underground cellar houses over 10,000 plus , from many different wineries and vintages. The specialize in every area of wine in addition they have micro-brew, along with some of the best beers in the world. Their is also a wine bar on site where you can enjoy some of their finest wines. They also offer special wine tastings and classes on a regular basis year round. Their walk-in beer refrigerator houses over 1000 different beers from 25 countries. They also stock a huge selection of spirits and exotic liquors. On premises is also a smoke shack where they offer over 400 different brands of the finest cigars.
