Architect – Edouard Francois’s “Hotel Fouquet” & “Tower Flower”

Two of the coolest building in Paris France come from Architect Edouard Francois. The “Hotel Fouquet” and the “Tower Flower building”. The Hotel Fouquet located at 46 ave George’s V and Champs Elysee, is listed as one of the leading luxury hotels of the world. The Fouquet has an austere facade that looks like a painting of a Hausmann style building albeit in all gray. The “Tower Flower” is a nine floor apartment, built in black and white concrete covered with flower pots full of Bamboo. Edouard Francois has done things with natural elements, integrating them into the facade, making the structure almost blend in or disappear at the same time. The next time you visit Paris pass by these two landmarks and have a gander. It is architecture that gets your attention by playing it cool.
