Yamaha Concept Piano’s
From this years Milano Salone Design exhibition comes these cool new concepts in Piano design from Yamaha. There is the monolithic “Cantilever“, a white marble sculptural full range piano, controlled via a sleek remote. Then there is the “Key Between People” this takes the Piano to the center of your entertainment area, combining the piano with a bar of sorts. There is a portable “Key Like Jeans” which is a walnut bodied portable piano that has external controls and amplifier jack, similar to an electric guitar. The walnut is said to age well, like a vintage guitar, or like a pair of your favorite jeans. There is an ultra portable “Key for Journey” which for a music producer/score writer/song writer, that places a keyboard in the middle of a notebook. It comes with inputs for headphones for that ride on the subway. The “Key as Gift” is a portable piano housed in a wooden body, complete with on board speakers. A perfect gift for the young musician in your life. The “Key Near Window” is a sleek, steel and glass piano system with matching speakers. This Piano is equally at home on you desk or in your ultra modern living room. The “Rendezvous Point” is another portable piano however this one packs ten speakers and a sub woofer, in a portable design that is welcome on your sofa, or desktop with full surround sound. I have to applaud the designers at Yamaha. As a musician I love to see things that can inspire young musicians and wannabe musicians. As aesthetic artwork alone they would make anyone want to fool around with them and sometimes that’s all it takes to get inspired. I hope these designs come to fruition. YAMAHA

All of these are very, very, very, extreemly beautifu. All of these pianos’ on here are no doubt a joy to use as well as to admire. Thank you for those wonderful photos that get all to dream and work harder to get other pianos, if they even have one.
